02
Logo & Wordmark
The primary visual identifier of Made-in-Ukraine. Typography-first — the name is the mark.
Logo Variants
Logo Anatomy
Wordmark
e-Ukraine Head Bold, 700 weight. No icon — the name is the mark.
Flag bars
Two horizontal rules: Ukraine blue (#3A7BC8) left, Ukrainian gold (#C9952E) right. Equal width, equal height (1.5–2px). Always appear beneath the wordmark.
Sub-label
e-Ukraine Head Regular or Light, ultra-small, all-caps, wide tracking (0.2em). Changes by context.
Clear space
Minimum clear space = height of the capital "M". Never crowd the logo against other elements.
✓ Do
- Use e-Ukraine Head Bold for the wordmark
- Keep the two flag bars beneath the wordmark at all times
- Use the dark variant on dark backgrounds
- Maintain minimum clear space around the logo
- Scale proportionally — never stretch or compress
✗ Don't
- Don't replace e-Ukraine Head with any other font
- Don't use only one flag bar or change their colours
- Don't add drop shadows, outlines, or effects
- Don't place the logo on busy photographic backgrounds without contrast treatment
- Don't use "Made In Ukraine" (with spaces) — always hyphenated: "Made-in-Ukraine"
03
Colour Palette
Our palette draws from the Ukrainian flag and the editorial tradition of global B2B trade publications.
Primary Palette
Neutral & Dark Palette
Colour Usage Rules
Flag gradient — The brand gradient always runs left-to-right: Gold (#C8952A) → Blue (#3A7BC8). Used on accent lines, CTA buttons, and decorative rules. Never inverted.
Accessibility — All text/background combinations must meet WCAG AA contrast ratio (4.5:1 for body, 3:1 for large text). Ukraine Blue on white = 9.4:1 ✓.
Colour in print — Use CMYK values for print materials. Pantone spot colours for premium print runs (covers, invitations). Never use screen RGB directly in print files.
Tints — Brand Blue at 10% opacity (rgba(58,123,200,0.1)) is used for hover states and tag backgrounds. Gold at 10% for premium callout backgrounds. Do not create other tints.
04
Typography
Two typefaces. One Ukrainian, one international. Each has a precise role.
Display & Branding
e-Ukraine Head
The official Ukrainian government typeface
Designed by the Ukrainian government under Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 licence. Carries the visual identity of the Ukrainian state — used for all display text, headlines, subheadlines, section labels, logo wordmark, and any large-format type.
Editorial Body
Newsreader
Optical-size variable serif
A high-quality editorial serif designed for long-form reading. Used for article body copy, pull quotes, standfirsts, and any paragraph-length text. Renders beautifully at small sizes on screen and in print.
Ukraine's manufacturers have consistently demonstrated resilience and quality that meets the highest European standards — from EPAL-certified pallet producers in Lviv to ISO-qualified metalworks in Dnipro.
UI & Interface
Inter
Variable sans-serif, all weights
Used for navigation, labels, metadata, captions, buttons, UI elements, and any small/functional text. Never for headlines. Supports Latin, Cyrillic, and Greek scripts — critical for Ukrainian content.

Voice & Tone
How Made-in-Ukraine speaks. Every word earns its place.
Authoritative
We speak with the confidence of deep expertise. We cite data, name sources, and never guess.
"Ukraine exported 4.2 million tonnes of barley in 2023, making it the third-largest supplier to the EU." — not "Ukraine exports a lot of grain."
Honest
We report challenges alongside strengths. We never hide risk or manufacture optimism.
"Infrastructure disruptions along the Odesa corridor add 12–18 days to shipment timelines — exporters should build this into their contracts."
Human
Every number wraps a story. We name the factory, the region, the person behind the product.
"At Boyky Pallets in Ruda village, the morning shift begins at 6:00 with the smell of fresh-cut pine."
Action-Oriented
We leave readers knowing exactly what to do. Every article has a clear takeaway and CTA.
"To source EPAL-certified pallets from verified Ukrainian manufacturers, visit made-in-ukraine.org or request a quotation."
Vocabulary Standards
✓ Preferred terms
- Ukrainian manufacturer / producer / exporter
- Made-in-Ukraine (hyphenated, as brand name)
- B2B buyer / procurement professional
- Supply chain / logistics corridor
- Verified / certified / EPAL-certified
- British English spelling throughout
- Metric units (with imperial in brackets where needed)
✗ Avoid
- "game-changer", "revolutionary", "synergy"
- "Made In Ukraine" (with spaces — not the brand name)
- Generic superlatives without data ("world-class", "top-quality")
- Invented statistics or unverified claims
- Condescending tone toward Ukrainian producers
- Mixing US and UK spelling in the same document
06
Imagery & Photography
Honest, human, industrial. Show the people and the process, not the stock photo.
Factory & Process
Production lines in motion, workers operating machinery, quality control moments. Shoot with available light where possible. Show scale — wide angles that reveal the whole facility.
✗ Avoid: Blurred machinery, empty factory floors, posed workers looking at camera.
Product Close-Ups
Materials, texture, certification marks, packaging. Macro shots that communicate quality without words. Clean backgrounds or in-context product shots.
✗ Avoid: White-background catalogue photos that look generic. Always show product in context.
Logistics & Export
Loading docks, freight containers, rail wagons, border crossings, trucks on European highways. These images tell the supply chain story.
✗ Avoid: Generic transport photos with no Ukrainian context.
People & Leadership
Founders, managers, workers — natural expressions, at work. Environmental portraits that show the person in their context. Not studio headshots.
✗ Avoid: Staged smiling poses, corporate stock photos, hands-shaking clichés.
Alt Text Formula (SEO + Accessibility)
Every image must have a keyword-rich, descriptive alt text. Use this formula for all article and product imagery:
Example: "Boyky Pallets loading EPAL-certified euro pallets for export, Ruda village, Lviv region, Ukraine."
